Best Brooklyn Wedding Venues - NYC Wedding Photographer

Brooklyn weddings hold a special place in my heart. I’ve lived in Brooklyn for several years now, and it’s where my grandparent’s lived too. I have such an appreciation for and love of this city, and any opportunity I can have to explore it more is a treasured memory for me.

Below you’ll find a list of Brooklyn weddings that host intimate weddings with a cozy, home-y feel. I think there’s something so special about the community aspect you find in Brooklyn, the charming neighborhoods and wonderful people who live here. There are so many intimate wedding venues you could choose from, but here are a few that stand out to me, as an artistic and emotion-driven documentary wedding photographer.

Frankie’s 457 Spuntino in Carroll Gardens

Starting off strong with Frankie’s, an absolute classic in the old school neighborhood of Carroll Gardens. This is one of my personal favorite restaurants for dinner, the food is absolutely incredible, and they host the sweetest indoor/outdoor wedding receptions. The backyard has warm lighting, a garden feel, and even an indoor space for smaller weddings. For incredible food and the perfect restaurant wedding, look no further.

Long Island Bar & Restaurant in Cobble Hill

A mid-century modern style restaurant on Atlantic Avenue in Cobble Hill, surrounded by the historic neighborhood and the perfect space to host your vintage-inspired wedding day. For a classic Brooklyn restaurant feel, this is the perfect place to host an intimate wedding with the people you love.

The Boathouse in Prospect Park

The boathouse in Prospect Park is truly a sight to behold. Resting alongside a small pond with stunning architecture and watercolor inspired details inside the space, it’s the perfect airy, colorful venue to host the nature-in-the-city wedding of your dreams. Prospect Park is the perfect backdrop for photos, with a beautiful waterfront ceremony on the pond.

The River Cafe in DUMBO

The River Cafe is a staple NYC wedding venue found in DUMBO. Right on the east river nestled under the Brooklyn Bridge, the views are unbeatable, the food and atmosphere are incredible, and the weddings are always so stunning here. The garden is available for your ceremony, creating the perfect quiet oasis for these special moments, before partying the night away in their beautiful waterfront restaurant space.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden in Prospect Park

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden, also located in Prospect Park, is another beautiful nature filled space, with stunning architectural details. The Palm House is a stunning glass greenhouse style reception space, with the outdoor lily pool terraces or indoor conservatory available for your cocktail hour. A pro-tip is to have your wedding around cherry blossom season, or early summer when the florals have bloomed in the park, and time your day after the park closes when visitors have left. You’ll have this stunning garden to yourselves for the most romantic evening.

The Liberty Warehouse in Red Hook

This is a beautiful warehouse space right on the waterfront of Red Hook. Liberty is the type of space you can make your own, with incredible views and the quiet nature of being right on the edge of Red Hook. The waterfront ceremony is one of a kind, and I highly recommend scheduling your ceremony/cocktail just before sunset for a stunning evening glow.

Strong Rope Brewery in Red Hook

Right next door to Liberty, Strong Rope offers unbeatable views and that same quiet location, with a more laid back feel. The brewery space is huge, allowing for a wide variety of wedding guest counts and rental options. The space allows for an indoor/outdoor feel or could accommodate a fully indoor wedding, which is perfect for flexibility! I especially love visiting Strong Rope in the summer months, and a pro tip would be to add on a food truck for late night reception food!

Bacchus Restaurant in Boerum Hill

Bacchus is another stunning restaurant on Atlantic Avenue, perfect for an intimate wedding. The restaurant has multiple options for a full buyout or smaller weddings, with an outdoor garden perfect for your ceremony. The space is cozy and the food is beyond incredible. I’ve loved working here in the past, the staff is amazing too!

Rule of Thirds in Greenpoint

Rule of Thirds is a truly one of a kind venue found in Greenpoint. With the absolute best food, creative design and unique atmosphere it makes for a stunning wedding venue space. I've worked here for both full buyouts and partial space rentals, and the weddings always have a laid back yet upscale feel. I couldn’t recommend the space more!

The Greenpoint Loft

The Greenpoint Loft is a classic open ended venue space, perfect for couples who want to make it your own. The reception space is a large room with an industrial/rustic feel, perfect for larger weddings to spread out without feeling cramped and allowing guests to enjoy the space freely. The rooftop cocktail area is an absolute bonus with gorgeous skyline views!
