Rose & Matt’s Wedding at David’s Country Inn / NYC Wedding Photographer
Rose & Matt’s mid May wedding day at David’s Country Inn in Hackettstown, NJ.
This day was absolutely stunning, and you’d never know that it was raining heavily for most of the day. Rose, Matt, and their friends and family were in high spirits and having a blast celebrating and preparing for the day. David’s is the best venue for a rainy wedding day, with the large historical home serving as the perfect backdrop for all our pre-ceremony photos. We started the day getting ready in the Warren Suite, before heading downstairs for the first look. R&M shared their vows privately before starting on couple portraits (and they looked stunning through it all). We captured family & bridal party formals in the ballroom before taking a beat to prepare for the ceremony. The energy and excitement was so high on this day, with all their friends and family feeling so much joy. We had a wonderful cocktail hour before starting the party with their reception. The sun came out just in time for sunset, so we snuck outside to capture a few more photos together before dancing the night away. I feel so lucky to have such sweet, genuine couples to work with this year. It was clear in the way R&M were together, and the way their families and friends showed up for them, that they are two incredibly special and wonderful people.
This wedding day was a perfect example of planning all the details out with realistic expectations, setting us up for a smooth and easygoing day, while truly living in the moment and enjoying what’s right in front of you. A little rain can’t stop you from having an absolutely unforgettable wedding day!
